POCKET EXPLORER with style

The Explorer concept has evolved considerably in recent years, from 2004 when the foundation stone of the first true yacht explorer, the Naumachos 82' m/y Bodry built at Cantiere Navale di Pesaro was laid down.

This first explorer yacht fully represented the style and functionality of a work boat, no frills and no embellishments, a vessel born to be functional and to sail in all kinds of weather conditions. Now that this trend is gaining ground, more and more owners are looking for robust explorer yachts with which they can sail for several weeks without touching land, but without sacrificing aesthetics.

Introducing the Pocket Explorer:
WHERE STYLE MEETS ADVENTURE

The first Darwin was completed, in record time, in 15 months and, in the meantime, the staff of a dawning Cantiere delle Marche came together and the shipyard was equipped. The lines of Vita di Mare 3 were somewhat softened and the fly developed further, this is how the Darwin Series started back in 2011. This outstanding model has evolved considerably over the years and has in M/Y Uptight his most modern representation.

EXPLORATIONS and long fishing EXEPEDITIONS

Uptight has been designed to fulfill her Owner desire to have a reliable and comfortable explorer yacht to enjoy months-long fishing expeditions in remote and uncontaminated seas. The Owner and his family love to gather in a very relaxed and informal way both at home and at sea. They are already dreaming and planning expeditions to Alaska and other far flung destinations.
Uptight is based on the naval platform of the Darwin 102, designed, engineered and modified by Hydro Tec to match her Owner requests, and boasts all the renowned characteristic of the Darwin series: a real explorer yacht, able to tackle the sea in every weather conditions.

Freedom WITHOUT LIMITS, Exploration WITHOUT BOUNDARIES

The motivations that led to the creation of the Flexplorer line stemmed from the shipyard’s desire to take the Explorer Yacht concept a step ahead, by further expanding the boundaries of exploration, allowing even the most remote areas of the earth, which by nature are not provided with any kind of service or assistance, to be reached.

The concepts that were already present in the Darwin line have been developed even more in the Flexplorer line, with particular regard to two aspects: the further development of interior volumes and the possibility of embarking tenders of unusual dimensions for yachts of this size.

Embarking a large tender, in addition to various other toys, is necessary when one wants to sail for long periods without touching land and in areas of the world that are scarcely receptive to traditional yachts. In this case, 8-metre tenders with an approximate weight of around two tonnes can be taken on board, thanks to the ample space available at the stern and the tender launching system, the A-frame, developed together with Cantiere delle Marche exclusively for this type of vessel. Tenders of this size are normally found on 50/60-metre yachts with a tonnage of over 500 GT.
